Circuit exchanges and the toric ideal of a matroid

Note that the document /NWC-related/matroid-circuits/cxa-tiofam.pdf (or to be exact: an improved version of that, retypeset in LaTeχ) is currently under review by HAL and I’m hoping to get a proper preprint of that public that way, in a way that is indexed properly and doesn’t just get lost to time, especially because that should make it way easier to gather high-quality feedback.
